Manager of Emergency Services

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative Role:

  1. Participates in at least 90% of Clinical Staffing meetings, assigned Community Committees and in 100% of mandatory meetings.
  2. Develops and maintains positive collaboration with other social service agencies serving clients.  Interacts with the other agencies using a customer-service orientation as evidenced by receiving zero complaints regarding the collaboration and/or interaction.  Provides consultation if needed.
  3. Participates fully in the process of achieving CARF and 988 accreditation and in the maintenance of the standards contained therein by performing and completing assigned tasks by their respective due dates.
  4. Communicates and cooperates with all other managers and administrative staff members; assists them in achieving the common goals of TCN as demonstrated by positive horizontal and vertical feedback.

Community Liaison Role:

  1. Attendance at public events and engagements which require a TCN presence, including, but not limited to speaking engagements, leading to increasing the awareness of the Agency.
  2. Collaboration with the community, and the local universities to develop a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  3. Outreach coordination and recommendations to underserved populations.
  4. Provide training to the TCN staff to best represent the agency when conducting community outreach and crisis intervention services.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. Provides quality clinical and administrative supervision to designated staff members in the Emergency Services and 988 Division. 
  2. Ensures that the 100% of subordinates within the unit meets or exceeds their expected monthly and annual Client Care Hours or 988 Metrics expectations as demonstrated by the units' respective quarterly evaluation scores and State/Vibrant monthly metrics reports.
  3. Establishes and monitors corrective plans for individual staff who are deficient in meeting their position expectations.
  4. Monitors subordinates' documentation and data reporting and ensures the accuracy of documentation to a degree of at least 80% as evidenced by random sampling performed by the CQI/Compliance Officer.
  5. Ensures subordinates' attendance at all required in-services, trainings, and mandatory meetings.
  6. Enforces 100% compliance with all Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services/ADAMHS Funding boards' standards as measured by CQI/Compliance reviews.

Therapist Role:

  1. Provides Crisis Intervention and follow-up services under administrative supervision that meets quality requirements set by the Agency and that is within the limits of services permitted by license and scope of practice.
  2. Provides diagnostic assessments under administrative supervision that meet quality requirements set by the Agency.
  3. Meets or exceeds standards pertaining to services provided.
  4. Meets or exceeds standards pertaining to assessments and documentation.
  5. Develops and maintains quality, accurate clinical charts for all clients served.

General Responsibilities:

  1. Has no unexcused absence from assigned departmental and administrative committee meetings and training.
  2. Maintains license or registration appropriate to profession and appropriate to job requirement, including appropriate amount of continuing education at all times of employment.
  3. Maintains agency-required annual training including, but not limited to, client rights and grievances, safety training, infection control, and other as required by OMHAS.
  4. Remains free from citations by other providers or by consumers for unethical practice and meet standard for own profession.
  5. Adheres to all organizational and departmental policies, including compliance with all behavioral and ethical expectations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. 

Education:

Master Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field

2. 

Experience:

Minimum of three years' experience in mental health treatment services

3. 

Certification:

LSW/LISW-S, LPC/LPCC-S, or Psychologist CPR/First Aid and De-escalation

4. 

Other:

Meets all standards and regulations of the Counselor and Social Worker

Board of the State of Ohio (or Psychology Board). Demonstrated competencies for working with populations served.
