About TCN Behavioral Health

TCN Behavioral Health is a non-profit organization that offers a wide variety of behavioral health and prevention services to youth and adults in the Greater Dayton area. We provide these services with a staff of highly qualified and credentialed professionals in Greene, Montgomery, Miami, Logan, and Champaign counties. TCN Behavioral Health is committed to providing accessible, affordable mental health and substance use treatment through clinical excellence.

We trace our origins back to 1990 when we were known as The Community Network and were officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. TCN was incorporated with a small contract with Clark County ADMH Board to operate MeToo! prevention program with a budget of only $45,000. 

Today, we provide services to nearly 12,000 regional clients, operating with a budget of nearly $30,000,000. We employ over 300 employees including physicians, therapists, administrative professionals, and more. The youth division is currently providing prevention services to 44 schools and mental health counseling in 19 schools across the Miami Valley. We look forward to a bright future meeting the needs of the region and promoting recovery, through a comprehensive offering of clinically excellent behavioral health services, which include:

Community Support: Transitional and Supportive Housing, Vocational Rehabilitation, Case Management, Representative Payee Services 

Crisis Intervention: 24/7 Crisis Hotline, Crisis Walk-In Center, Jail Assessment and Support Services

Mental Health and Psychiatric: Youth and Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Treatment; Youth and Adult Individual, Group, and Family Counseling; Youth and Adult Intensive and Standard Outpatient Substance Use Treatment

Substance Use Treatment: Adult Inpatient Substance Use Treatment, Adult Medication-Assisted Substance Use Treatment, Youth and Adult Aftercare and Relapse Prevention

Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Advocacy: Soteria House Shelter, Legal Advocacy, Crisis Intervention

Prevention Services: School-Based Awareness and Training, Free HIV Testing, STD/HIV Support Group 

CARF accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization's substantial conformance to the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a Three Year Accreditation outcome has put itself through a rigorous peer-review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable. TCN Behavioral Health first embarked on accreditation in February 2004 and was accredited for a period of three years. In 2021, CARF announced that TCN Behavioral Health's accreditation was renewed for an additional period of three years.
