Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs of each patient.
  • Prescribe and monitor appropriate psychotropic medications to manage symptoms effectively.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients, utilizing evidence-based modalities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to address urgent mental health needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all patient interactions and treatment plans.
  • Stay informed about current research, developments, and best practices in the field of adult psychiatry.
  • Provide consultation and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Travel to other locations may be required.
Education, Certifications, and/or Experience

  • Medical Degree(s) required by State of Ohio for licensure.
  • Experience working as an adult psychiatrist, preferably in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Minimum of two years in the behavioral health field highly preferred.
  • Holds a valid and unlimited license to practice nursing functions in the State of Ohio; has prescriptive authority in the State of Ohio (DEA).
  • Demonstrated competencies for working with adult and/or youth psychiatric populations.
